Day 3: The Priority of the Kingdom
Reading: Matthew 6:19-21, 33 -- Jesus teaches that where a person's treasure is, there the heart will be also, and instructs His followers to seek God's kingdom and righteousness above all earthly concerns.
Devotional: Priorities are not what we say we value -- they are revealed by where our energy and devotion actually go. It is easy to claim that God is first in our lives on a Sunday morning. The real test comes Monday through Saturday, when the demands of work, family, finances, and culture are all competing for our allegiance at once. Jesus reminds us that the heart follows the treasure. Whatever we invest our greatest resources into will eventually own us. The good news is that when we genuinely place God at the top, He brings order and alignment to everything beneath Him. A life surrendered to the King is a life that begins to make sense.
Personal Reflection: Think about the last week of your life. Where did your time, money, and emotional energy actually go? Does the pattern reflect a life where God holds first place?
Practical Application: Identify one specific area this week where you will intentionally reprioritize God. Whether it is waking up earlier for prayer, giving generously, or choosing worship over distraction, make a concrete and measurable commitment today.
