Day 5: Expect Challenges, Trust His Presence
Reading: Exodus 33:12-16
Devotional: When God told Moses to lead the people to the Promised Land but said He wouldn't go with them, Moses responded powerfully: "If you don't personally go with us, don't make us leave this place." Moses understood that God's presence mattered more than the destination. Following God doesn't mean smooth sailing; it means challenges with His presence. Abram arrived in Canaan to find it full of Canaanites. There were obstacles, fears, and difficult seasons. But a difficult season doesn't mean you've missed God's will—it often confirms it. The journey with God will include scary moments, but you can be afraid and still obey. You can doubt and still take the next step. What matters most is that His presence goes with you.
Reflection: What challenge are you facing that makes you question if you're in God's will? How does knowing His presence is with you change your perspective?
