Day 1: The Source of Life

Reading: Proverbs 4:20-27

Devotional: Just as your physical heart pumps life-giving blood to every part of your body, your spiritual heart—your mind, will, and emotions—directs the course of your entire life. When your heart stops physically, everything stops. Similarly, when your spiritual heart becomes diseased by bitterness, anger, or unforgiveness, every area of your life suffers. Today, recognize that everything you do flows from your heart. Your words, relationships, and decisions are all reflections of what resides within. Ask God to reveal the true condition of your heart. Are you pumping life or toxins into your daily interactions? Guard this source carefully, for it determines the health of your entire spiritual life.
