Day 4: Worship Along the Journey

Reading: Psalm 34:1-8

Devotional: In just nine verses of Genesis 12, Abram stops twice to build altars and worship God. Before he had a permanent dwelling, he built places of worship. When God appeared to him in the land filled with Canaanites—not exactly the peaceful promised land he might have expected—Abram still worshiped. He praised God when things looked good and when they looked confusing. Worship wasn't reserved for the destination; it was woven into the journey. If you only worship when everything makes sense, you'll lose perspective on what God is doing. Worship recalibrates your heart. It reminds you who is leading and who can be trusted, regardless of circumstances. Make worship a constant companion on your road trip with God.

Reflection: How can you build "altars" of worship in your daily journey, even when circumstances are challenging or unclear?
