Day 5: Embracing the Interruptions

Reading: Deuteronomy 8:1-5; Romans 5:3-5

Devotional: Moses reminded Israel that God led them through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, test them, and develop their character. The detours weren't wasted time—they were divine classrooms. Sometimes God uses interruptions and delays to let old things die so new things can live. Parts of you may need to die off before you can enter your promised land. The wilderness develops character, deepens dependence, and prepares you for God's promises. Instead of resisting the detour, ask, "God, what are You trying to teach me?" Look for His presence in the interruptions. Some of life's most powerful moments happen when plans fall apart and we choose to worship anyway. Embrace the wilderness. God is using it to transform you.
