Day 1: God's Detours Are Divine Directions

Reading: Exodus 13:17-22

Devotional: God intentionally led Israel the long way to protect them from battle they weren't ready to face. Sometimes the shortest path isn't the best path. When you find yourself on an unexpected detour, resist the urge to assume God has abandoned His plan. He may be protecting you from something you cannot see or preparing you for something you're not yet ready to handle. The wilderness wasn't punishment—it was preparation. God's delays are not His denials. Today, ask yourself: "What if this longer route is actually the better route?" Trust that the God who called you on this journey knows the safest, most transformative path to your destination.
