Day 1: Leaving Comfort Behind
Reading: Genesis 12:1-4
Devotional: God's call to Abram began with one simple word: "Go." No detailed itinerary. No GPS coordinates. Just a command to leave everything familiar and comfortable. God didn't ask Abram what would make him comfortable; He called him out of comfort into faith. Following God always involves leaving things behind—places, people, patterns, and sometimes the security we've built our lives around. The question isn't whether God will call you out of comfort, but whether you'll respond like Abram did in verse 4: "So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed." What is God asking you to leave behind today? Your obedience to that one step unlocks everything He has planned for your future.
Reflection: What comfortable situation, relationship, or habit is God asking you to leave? What's keeping you from taking that step?
