Day 2: What Flows Out Depends on What's Inside

Reading: Matthew 12:33-37

Devotional: Jesus made it clear: out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. You cannot hide what's truly inside. If anger resides in your heart, it will manifest in your words and actions. If fear has arrested your heart, it will show in your choices. Like a heart that pumps contaminated blood throughout the body, your spiritual heart circulates whatever you've allowed to enter it. Stop chasing the "flies"—the outward symptoms—and fix the "screen door" of your heart. The real transformation doesn't happen by managing behavior alone; it happens when you address the root issues. God wants to cleanse your heart at its source, not just manage the symptoms.
